Care advice
for Triton
outdoor rugs
The best way to keep your TRITON rug looking great and to delay the need for deep cleaning is to properly maintain the rug. This can be accomplished by regularly vacuum cleaning (without rotating brushes) or simply brushing off dirt before it becomes embedded, wiping up spills as soon as they occur or spot cleaning soon after stains occur. Do not use any abrasive brushes, bleaching agents or solvents since this leads to unnecessary use of chemicals and damage the fibres.
GENERAL CLEANING
- Brush off any loose dirt.
- Prepare a cleaning solution of 1:16 mild, PH-neutral detergent to lukewarm water (less than 100°f/40°c).
- Gently use a sponge or a soft bristle brush to clean.
- Allow cleaning solution to soak into the rug.
- Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residues.
- Allow the rug to air dry.
SPOT CLEANING
- Apply a light mist of mild, PH-neutral detergent and water using a spray bottle.
- Work the solution into the stain by lightly scrubbing the area with a sponge or very soft bristle brush.
- Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residues.
- Blot excess moisture with a clean, soft towel or sponge.
- Wet-vacuum or blot excess water.
Air dry, repeat steps 3 and 4 until all soap residue is removed.
